Search for my love
My search had begun eons ago. I have been yearning to meet him, spend time with him, and enjoy my walks, jogs and slogs with him.

I still remember the days when I had gone to my badminton practice without him. I regret even now for not having him beside me, to protect me.
It is high time I met him. Though I searched and searched, I could not find him anywhere in my vicinity. This search affected everything of my routine life.
To my utter surprise, I saw him supporting the cause of Chennai Super Kings, a sensational cricket team in IPL. I was proud to see him help the batsmen and the bowlers alike, impartially (Not the umpire)
He is not just my love, but also my life. I adore him so much that I hatched a plan to find him after my work hours. Once, I was even caught by my father when I was gaping at him. He lectured me for a long time, which in essence can be summed up in two words – ‘Not yet.’ Astonishingly though, he added that he would personally guide me in searching him. My dad is so cool, I know.
Days passed, but my thirst was not quenched. I couldn’t quite concentrate on my work. I pestered my father but he would not come out of his ‘later’ mode for some reason. I realized that life is like a ride on a bike wherein we have to stop at every signal unmindful of the time wasted, but keen on reaching the final destination. Disappointments can enlighten you, at times.
Though I couldn’t see him personally, I could see him every day in my television (Not an anchor, actor, singer, dance, politician or sportsman). Though he is too popular and loved by everyone, I love him the most. Each time I see him pop up in any advertisement, I jumpd up in joy and shouted out that he will be mine one day.
Alas, the D-day had come. I meant that the day for my results had come! To my surprise, I had passed everything with distinction. My parents were extremely happy and my dad said that he would now join me in the search of my beloved one. I was in cloud nine when he uttered those words.
We searched every nook and corner of our city and guess what, we actually found him. ‘Your perfect match’ dad said, as I marched gracefully with him. As I came out of the shoe mart, I couldn’t quite believe that I was the owner of a pair of brand new Reebok shoes.
