Oh My God Versus God Damn it!
Bubbly thinks:
If I ever had the power in my hand, I would kick the concept of God out of this Universe’s reach. Behind every war, there is God, or one of the off shoots in his name, religion, caste, creed, colour, even sex for that matter.
He gives hope, we hear. A God who discriminates among his children, a God who makes us conspire against our own brothers…does he give us any hope? He takes away the last ounce of hope in the blood.

Religion, as my dear friend should accept, is a goof up act, and God is the chief clown. God, is a colourful image of our nightmarish thoughts. If one religion wants him to be a saviour angel, another views him like a trampled hero and another does not want him to define him physically. If God, the omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient is there, is he not one? If he ever existed, does he not automatically become the absolute truth? Thankfully, we realize, that there is no God per se and are saved from some complicated explanations and religious rites.
By ‘we’, I mean the atheists. We do not see ourselves as non-believers. We are normal human beings. We are also bound by the laws of nature. We do not exist to please a God who does not seem to be present in the reach of the most advanced satellite even when he is enthusiastically assumed to be residing in the most commercial area of the town, a temple.
We believe in humanity, the tangibility and the transparency it has to offer goes well with us mortals. We do not seem to need an illusory image to invoke love and trust in ourselves and towards others. We certainly believe that there is no power mightier than our selves with utmost modesty and confidence. We can fail, like the theists or any other clan, and get over it without having to complain to the God, because, we want to give a break to God, who if existed is too over worked to listen to our requests. We can solve our problems by our own.
We do not want to act sweet, fearing God’s punishments. In fact, we laugh at a God who would take revenge on us if we do not behave ourselves, for we heard from our childhood that God made us do what we are doing. We do not expect special privileges, we do not want a God that makes us beg and wants us kneeled down before him. We do not mind going to hell because we ignored God, as we do not care for our after lives anyway.
All of what we admitted can amount to blasphemy. We are not ashamed of the heresy. We just do not want to pretend he exists when he does not, in reality. Most importantly, we are not a clan, neither do we want to attract the ‘cool’ tag, Goddamn it, we could not care less.
Bunty believes:
God- the Supreme Being. God is everywhere, in you, me and everything else that has ever existed and will ever exist in this universe. To fail to appreciate God is more of a mental handicap developed with a strong dose of hatred. God loves even those who denies his existence and questions his integrity in every way.
I have never come to terms with the word non-believer. Every individual believes in something. It just differs with each person. For some it could be a sculpted stone while for some it could be a living or dead person. The adoration of the entity they believe in turns to worship when they consider it sanctified.
Religions originated probably because the world is quite huge and the people living in it were scattered in every corner of it. Naturally, they had different environments, experiences and circumstances which lead them to believe in whatever they believe.

The whole “God” concept could be nothing more than a figment of imagination to a handful of atheists. Yet the word inspires people, gives hope in despair. It makes them believe that there is some good in the evil. They fear the word when they are in doubt, when they are about to commit mistakes. People believe that there is someone watching over them, there is someone who can fix their lives if it falls apart. Most importantly, they feel loved. Any ordeal they go through seems easy when they believe that God has a reward waiting for them when they are through it.
Somewhere along the line, the religious heads thought that this belief could be useful to gain power and wealth. They used it, gained what they wanted. But, greed overtook their needs and made them connive for more. Battles over land in the name of one “God” spread hatred among people over other “Gods”. It never stopped till every “God” was hated. Thus, a word that aroused love lost the very purpose and did the exact opposite.
All said and done, it is a fad to call oneself an atheist these days. Irreverence is the catchword. Faith is more of a call from the inner voice which some might fail to hear owing to their ignorance. The rest, still believe in the word. Why, from Albert Einstein to A.R.Rahman, everyone we look up have a very special spiritual connection which they are not afraid to share to the world. It does not matter what your religion is, how your “God” looks, how powerful he/she/it is, how many followers your “God” has. All that is required is belief in your “God” and your love for it. Accept other beliefs, respect them, no bigotry please! Do not try arguing over whose “God” or belief is better. God bless all!

@Kiliman,
What do you think, Sir? Quote
Thanks!
Agnostic?? Ah…I can accept anything, except what seems to be the easiest for most people: the half-way, the almost, the just-about, the in-between! ;)No, thanks, sir :) Quote
The cause n effect relationship still exists for every paranormal happening. Just that we cant perceive it thanks to sensory limitations. Some even take a quick peek into this realm through intellectual stimulation.
While existences beyond the perception of the limited window of our five senses cannot be refuted , such existences remain unknown.
Now if you personify the unknown to God you are a theist n if you dont then ur an
atheist ..
but then wait , if ur too confused or lazy to make a choice … u can follow me THE AGNOSTIC .. Quote
